US Open Tennis Tickets

by Brad Collack

Known as the US National Championship back in 1881, the US Open maintains one of the oldest tennis traditions across the globe. Traditionally held over a two week span from the end of August into the beginning of September, it is the last of the four Grand Slam tennis tournament held each year. The five event championships, male and female singles, doubles, mixed doubles and additional tournaments held for juniors, seniors, and wheelchair players, will be held at the USTA Billie Jean National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens, New York.

What makes the US Open different from the other Grand Slam events is that the tournament organizers do not allow the final sets to continue until someone wins by two games. The fast DecoTurf surface of the courts produces less bounce and friction than other tournament surfaces.
