The correct racket will compliment your game perfectly, give you more confidence and allow your skills to shine. Something as simple as the correct grip size can reduce discomfort and the risk of injuries too.
Finding your perfect racket is possible, you just need to be aware of your playing style and skill level. You can then make an informed choice from the thousands of different rackets on the market.
Serve and volley players will need a light and manoeuvrable racket. A power racket will be ideal for them as it generates a high ball speed off the strings. If you have a short or narrow swing, opt for a power racket that can generate a high ball speed off the racket.

What makes a tennis racket so suitable for tennis? Well, all the processes and materials. Those materials and also processes are vital key in producing good tennis rackets and good performance of a player. Not only that, the materials and the strings also affect the overall quality of the rackets.
For example, more and more rackets’ frames nowadays are made out of composite materials. Common mixtures of alloys in composite frames are silica, boron, kevlar, fiberglass and graphite. Graphite is the material that gives the frame its sturdiness and agility. Composite frame is lighter but it does not compromise the stability, control and the maneuver of player over the racket. Other than that, composite frames are also more durable and long-lasting.

August twelfth, ‘09 was a bright, sunny Wednesday morning in Montreal. Since I was working at the Rogers Cup, I got admission to the grounds and had specially asked for the day off so I could go see all the professionals’ practices. It was indeed a rich schedule with the best 10 competing all the way through the day.
At eleven that day, a pal and I headed over toward Court 4 where the world’s No.1, Roger Federer, was due to arrive at 11:30am. Already jam packed with roughly a few hundred people, there was hardly any room to move.

Commonly, your level and style of play effects your need to restring your tennis racket. If you practice and play with the same extraordinary spin and power as the elite college players or tennis professionals, you will restring more often than regular juniors or social players. Prevalence of your practice and competition play will also effect the frequency of your restringing.
The number one reason for restringing for most juniors and social players is a broken string. Strings wear away with each hit, so eventually they will become so thin they break on contact with a tennis ball.
